I have completed my first table for VPinMAME, and am quite proud of it.
My favorite pinball machine of all time:

D o c t o r W H O ! !

This is the new 1.2 version, made 9/28/2001.

There are three files in this release, in addition to this README:

* Fast version = for fast computers
This includes a new animation in the upper right corner, of an
actual working moving Dalek head!
Running this animation is very CPU-intensive, so if the lag
is too great, try the slow version instead.

* Slow version = for slow computers (like mine)
This is the same game as the fast version above, and plays
identically, except there are fewer frames included in the
animation. This makes the animation less smooth, but
should reduce the lag if your computer is unable to handle it.

* Doctor Who NVRAM
Copy this file to your NVRAM directory of VPinMAME!
This file has the "secret" setting enabled, to turn on the
moving Dalek head in the game software.
(This is adjustment A.2.49, good luck finding it in the manual!)

Thank you for all your help and ideas!
I have made extensive improvements to the table
and now it plays dramatically better.

If the game loads but you cannot press the Start button,
the first thing to do is check your version of VBS Scripts below.
90% of the time, the problem goes away after upgrading!

Check the forums for help, if confused.

Remaining things to do:
+ Put decals on the playfield lights
+ Line up the playfield artwork better
+ Replace the playfield artwork with a better image
Can anyone help me by providing the font used on the
Doctor Who playfield (it might be called "Pioneer")?
Also, anyone have a better image of the playfield artwork?
The image needs to be from absolutely directly
overhead, like a view from a satellite! If it is angled
at all, it won't work. I would really like to have a good
playfield image. So far, I have not found any suitable
artwork, other than what's on the back of the game flyer.
