The legendary Game #676... Gottlieb KRULL

The game is rare... but the manual is not, as of now!

Collector Jean-Rene Karr, owner of one of the less-than-10 surviving Krull machines, has been kind enough to send me some scanned manual pages from France! The manual is very incomplete, as the game was never released.

What I have is:

• Two pages of rules
• DIP switch information
• Four large schematics

The schematics are double-A4 size, so I had difficulty scanning them. (insert grumble about dummied-down HP scanner software here) The schematics are of very poor contrast: the ink is medium gray on a light gray background. I tried to compensate as best as possible, but what you see here is the best I could do. It represents hours of work. Please be happy with it.

If time permits, I will rescan the schematics. I did them 3-up for now, but they could be more easily pasted together if they were 4-up. If there is demand, I will do this.

And now, on to the files. Please be aware that they are hosted on my own personal DSL line, so the speed will be very slow. (insert grumble about ever-increasing bandwidth costs here) Each file is very large, and in pure black and white. They are in TIFF format at 600 DPI.

These TIFF files might have a warning or two when loading, due to compatibility problems. (insert grumble about Microsoft's handling of file format standards here) Please do not open the files directly in your browser, as they could crash it (the files are thousands of pixels wide). Instead, right-click to save, and then view them at your leisure after the download has finished.

I need a volunteer to convert these into PDF!
If you can do this, please email me (click on the email link below). If it becomes necessary to take these files offline due to their load on my DSL line, then I will ensure you still have access as the PDF is being made.

These files are open to everybody — except the one guy at Expo 2001. You know who you are. Why don't you put a velvet rope around the game, while you're at it?! If you don't want people playing, then don't bring your game onto the show floor!
